Hi I had been searching round for hours looking for a startup password problem for a toshiba equium a200 1v0 and found a thread on this site for a toshiba a205. See link for (How do I reset eeprom on Toshiba A205?) Reading down I found the bit about removing the memory etc. I found on the equium a200 you don't have to remove anything other than the black tape (and put at least the lower piece of memory back in).
I used a old meccano screwdriver as instructed and it worked a treat so my thanks go to the people on the above forum. I hope i have helped anybody struggling with a equium a200.
