Stop ckdsk - 2 choices?
I "imaged" my Win2k partition w/DrvImage and know when I bootup CkDisk runs.
I have been told to go to a DOS prompt and enter chkdisk C: /F (F is the partition that I have Win2k on)
or......
I have read to:
Run the Registry Editor (Regedt32.exe). You must use Regedt32.exe and not Regedit.exe
Goto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager
Change the BootExecute value from:
autocheck autochk *
to:
autocheck autochk /k:x *
Are the commands doing different things and which one should I use?
