stupid keyboard

My keyboard is no longer working on my laptop. The keyboard works in MacOS, but as soon as windows xp loads and I get to the password prompt the keyboard stops working.

I tried a repair reinstall, but when windows xp loads to the text portion the keyboard still does not working.

I've booted with a DOS disk and all worked fine, I've also connected a usb keyboard and mouse but this failed. I've checked the settings in the BIOS but nothing seems unusal. I can't seems to find a solution online either

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated since I am at the end of my ropes

Have you tried booting into safemode by pressing F8 before windows begins to load then selecting the safe mode option????

Sometimes, just doing that then booting normally can correct a problem like that!!!!

Let me know if that works or not!!!!

In that case, in safemode, go into device manager and remove everything in the keyboards section then reboot into normal mode and see if there is an improvement!!!!
