T-Mobile users beware, the evil blue screen of death is out to get you. A large number of the provider’s user base have been complaining about random issues including, but not limited to, intermittent freezes, frequent restarts and yes, the blue screen of death. Reports seem to be coming in from just about everywhere regarding the issues including independent outlets, Twitter, Facebook, Reddit and more.
In many cases, users get hit the with a solid blue screen, followed by an immediate restart every 10 the 30 minutes. While there is no definitive data, the issue seems to be mainly limited to iPhone 5s, 6 and 6 Plus users on iOS 8.1 through 8.3.
While it may have been some sort of update T-Mobile pushed out to its users, some reports suggest T-Mo staffers are saying the problem might be a memory issue.
Some users, and even T-Mobile itself, are suggesting a hard reset (as if you didn’t already try that), but it looks like there are other options as well. A good number of people affected by the bugs claim that disabling Wi-Fi calling or VoLTE is solving the problem. If that doesn’t work, T-Mobile suggested clearing out your old text messages and then doing a factory reset through iTunes.
