I'd love to get my hands on an iPad. Back in the days of the Apple ][+, the really neat thing was to watch the innovative things flowing out of Apple. They combined things no one else had thought about, and made "not economically feasible" technology into "I GOTTA HAVE IT!" things.
The genius of this is, it has sparked entire copy cat products, in all price ranges, but the "gold standard" seems to still be Apple products.
I especially like the story about Xerox patenting the "pointing device" and "graphical user interface" but thought a very expensive home computer in the early 80s would never sale and make money...Steve and Steve got permission to use those patents for free...after all...what could be done? LOL!
