The Best Gaming Laptops: Gaming on the Go

I really wanted to upgrade my 12700H + RTX 3070 lenovo legion laptop... but the newer laptops are so bad that I got angry and looked for the best offers I could find and bought a PC for cheaper and much better performance (9800x3d + 5070ti) . I'm keeping this laptop for when I need to travel.

I even made monitor setup with a long arm that I can swing on top of me in bed so I can game laying down :)

Reading this I’m suddenly reminded of how my last laptop sounded like a jet taking off. Apparently that’s just what you get when you ask for "desktop power" in a laptop and your rig ends up being closer to a small furnace with a screen. The desktop replacement section walks that line hard

A GTX 1060 laptop used to be the sweet spot for 1080p, and now an RTX 4050 nearly doubles its performance for ~$850 on a budget machine while sipping less power and throwing in DLSS on top. Makes me feel both proud and old at the same time.

I guess the real questions are "how much do you have to spend on a laptop" and "which RTX card can you afford?".

I'm still on my now ancient MSI i7-8660 x Geforce 1050 Laptop, since I don't really have much need to game when I travel (maybe only when taking the kids to visit my parents).

Always enjoyed having a beefy desktop PC and then a lightweight gaming laptop. Makes playing on the Laptop feel like "camping" and I have to get creative with the games I play.

I got my HP Omen 16MAX 275+5080, 240Hz OLED, 64GB ram, and 1TB SDD for $2200 during the July 4 sale!
