Something to look forward to: The Medium arrives in just over one week, and the good news for Xbox Game Pass for PC subscribers is that the psychological horror will be available on the service from launch day—January 28. With that date fast approaching, developer Blooper Team has released a new trailer and an updated PC requirements list.

The trailer explains that protagonist Marianne has heightened senses that allow her to discover hidden objects, such as a switch hidden behind a wall. She can also examine items to learn about a place or event from the past.

Crossing into the spirit world—The Medium’s flagship feature—Marianne can reconstruct soul fragments to find out what the soul said or thought at that exact moment. She can also communicate with the lost souls on this plane. Additionally, the trailer shows Troy Baker-voiced antagonist The Maw make an (invisible) appearance in the real world.

As for specs, the game follows the current trend of listing multiple options, including ray tracing. You might notice that they all target 30 fps, but Blooper Team says users will be able to unlock the framerate from the graphics menu.

I can swear this game already exists with the same mechanics! I saw one play it on Twitch last year. Was boring as hell. Maybe it was the alpha of this or something.

When I first saw the headline, I was like:
"What the hell is a Medium PC and how is it different from a Large?".

Why are all the specs listed for 30 fps??? Are we in 2012?
This is beyond stupid...
It's the result of being yet another console port. Consoles as recent as the PS4 still operate at 30fps. Hell, VSync in Assassin's Creed Odyssey is 30fps. It sucks.
I also think it is so stupid to not have a 1080P high "option" I feel lots of people play at this setting
I would agree with you. I fact, I'd go so far as to say that close to ¾ of people play at that setting.

EDIT: Maybe not with this game. Since the GTX 1060 is by far the most popular card on Steam, they'd have to play at 1080p low.

They target average fps for all graphic presets at 30fps, then they say there is an option to unlock fps ... if you can unlock those fps why not show it in you pc requirement list ?

Bottom line, if you cant show it, it means this game wont run smooth at 60fps, most likely many fps dips and allot stutter, straight up console port, lazy pc optimization, they think they can cash out on pc players because its only for xbox and pc, but they are mistaken. I hope this game gets cracked, because pc platform does not deserve this type of developement. They dont deserve any cash from the pc platform. Really trash studio.
