The top-specced Mac Pro could cost around $45,000

I have no idea how someone into tech cannot look at this thing and marvel at how incredibly well machined and powerful it can be. I've always disliked Apple, except for their displays. But this is the first Mac Pro that I looked at and was like "WOW." The base model isn't impressive, but going up the ladder it becomes a hell of a machine.

The display is what I really want. Everyone talking smoke about the stand needs to watch the YouTube video showing all the machined parts that go inside it. It looks like a damn mechanical watch with all the parts inside. I can only imagine how smooth the movement is and how wonderful it adjusts. But the 6K retina display is at 1600nits and rivals OLED using special blue-LED lighting on a high-end LCD panel (probably a cherry picked AS-IPS or something).

Yes it's overpriced. This is Apple. But if you cannot be open-minded and marvel at this, I have to wonder if you are being biased against it simply because it's Apple.

Again, this is coming from someone that has never bought an iPhone or Mac Pro. I once had a 30 Inch cinema display and it was freaking awesome. I used it on my PC though. Stop hating and watch the YouTube video on this thing. It's impressive.

Doesn't really matter whether or not one could conceive of potential user for a maxed out Mac Pro, other vendors offer similar options. For example, I can go to the Dell UK website and pick a Precision 7920 Workstation and spec it to a similar level to what the Verge website did for the Mac Pro - I hit £57 500 with just the same processor and RAM amounts, let alone having to include the video and storage choice. Personally, I think $45k for the spec suggested is ridiculously cheap, irrespective of who would buy it.

This is what you call "clickbait".... you can go on pretty much any server building website and customize a PC that costs about the same - or more!

RAM and Storage, when maxed out on servers, always costs tens of thousands of dollars.... Try building a Dell PowerEdge server... you can easily go over $250,000....

This isn't supposed to be a server...It is a workstation....For $6000 I could build a PC that runs a hell of a lot faster with more ram and more NVME SSD storage.

Not the point... and you can configure a workstation to easily surpass $50,000 when adding RAM and storage...

For that price it better come with a special gift card for free BJs by top models for the next 12 months.
