Top 5 Best CPUs: Intel or AMD, who dominates today?

Actually Intel sells more chips than AMD, they have more partners but ADL is only competitive with DDR5 which is nowhere to be found, so Intel just doesn't sell ADL as they could. When AMD changes too DDR5 and should availability still be bad, then it will be the same;

About AMD being the partner number 2 is right only for this generation, Intel reserved most of the next nodes for themselves (as 2nd partner).

But Intel chips still have a bad IPC/Watt, AMD is much better and Apple even better. If on gaming desktops it doesn't matter too much, on laptops it is vital.
Wow, your post is wrong it's not even funny. IPC per watt isn't even a thing, what the freaking hell is that? LOL

Like I said long time ago:

@midian182: This is old news. TSMC have exactly two customers for 3nm first phase: Apple and Intel. Which of these two will grab larger amount of that first phase capacity 🤔

Eventually 3nm capacity will be around 100 000 wafers per month.

Intel will use Over 50K wafer starts per month for just 3 CPU's and one GPU 🤦‍♂️"(y) (Y)"

Good example of wrongly understood "news" that appears on many sites...

It's been 4 months and so far no-one has proven me wrong.

I hope that Ryzen 7000 won't fail because AMD seriously needs new stuff to be able to compete. Intel sits on pretty much everything now, as this top 5 shows well.

Lets see how well 5800X3D can be used as a stopgap solution, looking forward to official benchmarks, however no overclocking is kinda of a dealbreaker for many people, stuck at 4.5 GHz, which will limit performance in many tasks compared to even higher clocked Zen 3 chips

AMDs needs TSMC 5nm, AM5 and DDR5 support ASAP. However, will DDR5's slow timings affect performance too much? Infinity fabric .. Could pose a problem, maybe that is the reason it is delayed
