Toshiba hard drive died, new drive not seen

toshiba hd died put new hd in want do notting. no curse bleeking in the corner.the f2,f8 and f12 key does notting. if i let it run for a minute it says operating system not found. put windons xp and windows7 cd in with the hd in does notting for a minute then trys to boot but crashs with this message for xp stop : 0x0000007B(0xF78DA63C,0xc0000034,0x00000000,0x00000000). for windows7 it run but says no device drivers were found. trying to get in the BIOS but no luck. can some tell me the keys to push .oh put new hd = harddrive in say need driver what driver. this is win7. toshiba satellite L655-S5061

want boot up

can not get the computer to boot up but with a hiren cd it boots up

Hit "DEL" or "F2" while the computer starts booting, to get into the bios

that still didnot work . it says operating system not found

Can you see the hard drive in the bios? Is it set as the first boot device in the boot order?

okay I fixed it dum me.

thanks for your help. now i have a new one to work on. I will be back for help.oh by the way the fix was to remove the battery hit the power botton put the battery back in boot up i hope this help some else.
