Transfer Files From Old To New Computer

I saw an article about this, but my old computer doesn't have a
Ethernet port. Is there another way to hook this up to another computer.
I bought a 1TB external drive to put my files I want to transfer over if the
two computer hook up isn't possible

If the old CPU does not have a network port, you might be able to connect the 1TB drive as a secondary data only drive and make a copy. Then you can add the data drive to the new system and copy the files to wherever you wish.

Since this involves lots of variables, it would be best if you fully describe both computers - make, model, OS, GPU, existing storage, etc - beforehand.
