I don't seem to get much time on our desktop so I thought I'd use my other half's old sony vaio notebook to browse the internet. I want to do this wirelessly, but it has only one USB port and no cd-rom drive.
It does however have two PCMCIA ports. I bought a wireless adapter (came with a CD-ROM) so I bought a CD Drive that also connects via PCMCIA. Everything seemed to be working fine, I put the CD-ROM into the drive double clicked on the drive's icon and I got the message "E:\ is not accessible The device is not ready"
I've read a few posts on here with similar problems, but they don't seem to be applicable to this. Can anyone help PLEASE?
