I have a dell dimension 8200, pentium 4, 2.0 ghtz, 512 ram, geforce mx 420 graphics card, 40 gig hard drive (going to add another this week), windows xp home, i don't know what motherboard i have

i would like to upgrade to a nvidia geforce 6200 agp, when i emailed dell they said i couldn't go above 4200 which makes no sense to me, will it work in my cpu, and not sure if i have a agp

i have to get battlefield 2, and i have a good feeling it won't work now, cuz it has a really hard time with half-life 2, luckily counter strike source works fine, thanks for any help

As long as you have agp 8x or 4x, a 6200 agp should work. I have the leadtek a6200td card, which is nice, I'd recommend it.

Ya Vnf4ultra is right u r right u r fine, also u have agp 4x slot which i am sure of.
look for cards which have 8X/$x on thier box it will work on your system.
