I think it's freedos otherwise it was stated in the specs. Anyway I like it and also love the fact a larger battery - 5200 mAh - it should last longer. Though netbooks consumes less power than a laptop.

I've been thinking for a while to get a laptop or notebook, and now it seems my ISP will offer me free wireless Internet. I didn't get the modem yet, but it would be a pity to use it with a desktop computer... so this Aspire One would be simply great to have, especially since it's a crisis, money is short, and gifts are always welcome!

I am happy to hear that windows 7 is supported. Most netbooks are still 2 operating systems back by having xp even though it's a great os.

I've been using an acer (5730z-324g32Mn) laptop for some time now at work. It's not a beast, but good enough for office work. The only problem is that i don't like carrying an >3kg laptop everyday and a smaller one would be perfect for me.

Very nice indeed ,only drawback is intels integrated gpu,but that is common in those range of laptop,or called by their name of netbooks .
