"UPS service is stopped" message

howdy
I just did a clean install last night and everthing seems to be normal except for 1 thing. I installed my UPS, and it seems to be working fine. However , in the windows properties screen for the UPS, it has a message that says "UPS service is stopped", even though it says the computer is on AC power and the UPS works fine if I unplug the power cord from the wall. I have the UPS service set to "automatic". Is this message normal? I can't remember if it was like that before, I don't think I had that "ups service is stopped" message... thanks for reading.

It is normal for services to stop when they have nothing to do. Perhaps the UPS service is supposed to be running only when the computer is running on the UPS?

I'd say as long as your UPS is working properly if you unplug it, then I wouldn't worry about it. It's probably just one of those things that is better leave alone, since it is working properly.
