Video Card High Pitched Noise

My GPU currently has been making a high pitched noise. It is only when changing the resolution and press Apply

It's usually the monitor that does that rather than gpu!!! It's nothing to worry about unless it gets really!!!!

Well it could be the gpu cooling fan. When you change resolution to something higher the gpu has to work harder and the fan goes to full speed.

Keep an eye on artifacts and such as they indicate an overheating gpu. Replace the fan soon if this start happening b4 you kill the gpu.

YEP, it was the monitor just switched to LCD and no more noise. By the way my 7800 GS is watercooled
