What should i upgrade to play Counter-Strike Source or even Battlefield 2?

My computer can handle Battlefield 1942 but it has a slow load time and i need to keep the graphics at medium or lower, which thanks to my newer vid card is now possible for me. I can also play Counter-Strike 1.6 just fine but again it loads a little slow. I know i definately need to upgrade to even run battlefield 2 and counter-strike source but i want to know what i should focus on for now. Also i just want to know what i need, not what i should get, for i have no income :/

I'd say your biggest problem is your amount of memory.

Getting up to 512mb or 1 gig would yield the biggest improvement, especially to CS 1.6 load times.
