When I play videos it does this weird thing like freezes but plays

my sound is not playing well. it started to do this weird sound when i play a song/video. i can not explain it. so i recorded a video of my laptop while playing a video then it playing a MP3 song. so you can fully get what im trying to explain.

Actually, please download a codec pack, here's one: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Codec_Pack_All_in_1.htm

Also confirm your drivers are updated for your sound card
One way to do this is to do a Windows Update and select "Custom"
Another way is to go to your Laptops support page, they usually have an auto detect button, that you can use to download your audio drivers.

And cover those legs !

and how do you do a windows update?

Install the codec package

Start--> Run--> %SystemRoot%\system32\wupdmgr.exe
Select "Custom"
There's some waiting for pages to change and what not
Hopefully there's an audio driver update

And what brand and model number is your Laptop?
Just go to their support page and re-download the audio drivers (and install them)

One week later.

The sound still sucks ?

If so then it may be better to uninstall it completely, then re-install it clean again

Please go to Add/Remove programs and locate you sound program (presently unknown to me)
After that, go to Start -> Run -> devmgmt.msc -> OK
Confirm your sound driver is fully un-installed by clicking the + sign on Sound
(You can select each one then uninstall it)

You may need to restart (but if Windows does not state this, then continue on

Confirm you have your correct sound driver from Asus (previously downloaded)
Re-install your updated sound driver

Reply back within 7 days (even provide a song and dance link for TechSpot - that'll be fun )

on the add/remove programs where am i supse to see the audio thing,
and when i click + for sound drivers it shows different kinds of audio's , do i remove all of them?

Under the sound + sign, yes remove them all.
In add/remove progs. it should be something live SoundBlaster or Realtec or I don't know, as I don't know what sound program driver you have installed.
And where's the song and dance ?

Check for that in Add/Remove programs, and remove it
In device manager, remove all, except the lines with vide in
Install the newest updated Sound driver

I'll leave the S&D alone now

Select the drop down arrow
Select audio
You'll get a security prompt to download the file, (top of page) select this

Note: if it doesn't work, just select audio again (in the drop down menu) and it will work.

What sound card you got ? You need to update the sound card drivers, if u using onboard sound, get the latest version of the audio drivers or mobo drivers which include it.

After that make sure all cables are checked and in place. You shouldn't have this problem now.

Also NOTE: You must download K LITE codec pack, google her in. Then you should be set.

Also try reducing your audio performance to basic ,,, man things to try, ull get it fixed,, GL chief,,

so im making up a song?

Yes

To fix all Windows file system errors
Click Start --> Run --> sfc /scannow (note: space after sfc )
You will need your Windows CD and it may take up to an hour to complete.

Note: This will not affect your data or anything else. It just confirms all Windows files are intact and working properly.
