This game started out as a UT mod and it was addicting.

As a 44 year old - MY all-time favorite game is 'Deus Ex' (2000).
It comes down to the storyline, characters, dialogue, player choice, music etc. Very special and unique.

If I was to recommend a game to a 6 year old, it would be:
'Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?' (1985).

Cheers

Ah, the old Broderbund classic! That's a fantastic recommendation! I remember it well because I loved it as a kid. Even better than Where in the World was Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego because you had to track the thieves not only around the world but in different time periods. It taught you both geography AND history. I was totally addicted to that game as a kid. It was so popular among young people in fact, that they made a kid's game show of it:

I recently completed AtomicHeart and was very impressed! But, also I like both parts of Little Nightmers. I think this game is the cutest masterpiece.

Hey! Recently went through two parts of Outlast. Can anyone recommend similar games? I was delighted with this game.

My old mainstays are the same. Cities Skylines and Strange Brigade.

But my new favorite current days game is Dead Island 2.
What a gory, no thought required masterpiece!

My suggestions would be Alien: Isolation, the first Dying Light and Dead by Daylight.
