Why is SATA 2 better than SATA 1?

what's the difference and is it worth it??

SATA 1.0 is rated at 150MB/s
SATA 2.0 is rated at 300MB/s

But in the real world, most HDD just can't move that fast anyways so it is not (yet) really worth the extra price tag.

Unless you are getting 10,000rpm raptors and setting up a raid array, you don't need Sata 2.0.
