Will the same cards but made at a different time work in SLI?

exactally as the question, i have two cards that are nvidia 8600 gt's and they dont want to work together in sli. on the back of the cards one says like 2007, while the other one says 2008. they also have a slightly different layout on the circut board, but they both have the same heatsink and fan with the same stickers on them.

also just found out from gpu-z that each card has a different BIOS version, i'm not sure what this means, i would have though that they would be the same,
any help would be very appreciated, i need help and i'm begging at this point, pleeeeeeeeeeeeease help

Yes they will work together in an SLI configuration

The BIOS doesn't need to be the same, but it is recommended that they are the same so as to prevent any issues from cropping up. Try flashing the older one to the newer card's BIOS. Make sure you have the old BIOS at hand before doing this though, just in case things become worse.
