hi i have formated a pc and installed windows again. when i tried to connect to internet through my toshiba modem (usb ) this page cannot be displayed is appearing. i installed the driver like usual but when i was installing i was asked to insert win 98 cd . other times it did not happen . i prossedded and the driver is installed but still no internet. i tried to connect the modem to pc via ethernet card but no sucsess. any help please ?

Maybe you should go to Network properties, remove the existing configurations and reinstall them (you might want to write down what there is).
You shouldn't need other than TCP/IP protocol and your modem there. File and Printer Sharing for the modem is just adding insecurities.
