Hi friends,
I am having a Win98 PC and Win2000 Prof. PC. My problem is I am not able to access the 98 PC from 2000 PC but the reverse is possible. I have added NETBEUI protocol in both the machines and both are on the same network. Can anyone help me out to solve this problem.

Regards,

Shreejesh.

All that should be necessary is TCP IP protocol, and verify the following are set-up:
1) The windows machine has something shared. If nothing is shared, it will not show up on the network
2) The Workgroup in the network properties is the same on both systems. (Not necessary, but it makes life easier)
3) The IP addresses follow the same scheme 192.168.1.x where x is between 2 and 250 and the two systems do not have the same number
4) The subnet mask is 255.255.255.0 for both systems.

Bug

Sir,
Thanks for your prompt reply. But the suggestions which you have given were already checked. Both the machines are in same workgroup, having same IP series. Still problem remains the same.
