Ive spent all today trying to get my PC to boot up with a new mobo, and now the damn machine wont shut down! ...
:suspiciou
All I ask is if someone knows of a possible cause and remedy to my problem. Its not urgent as I can manually shut it down but anyway...
Thanks

Check in your bios for options relating to power management.
Check your mobo maual to see what every single option means and does for
your system.
Also check if you have connected the wires from your pc case correct,so you
can shut down by pressing the button.
Check in controlpanel\display\screensaver\energy what powersaving settings
you have there.
Also in controlpanel is an icon for powersaving settings.
Maybe you have an ethernetcard that won't let your pc shutdown.
Thanks for the reply. Ive actually sorted out a way of shutting down: i log off first then click on the shutdown button. It works for me so im happy
Thanks
