I really need to get one of my files from my computer to another computer in a different house. It's an .mdf file and it's only 4.06 GB. So I tried to burn it onto a DVD, but it only reads as 72 MB. I also used xdrive.com and tried to upload it onto there temporarily, but it still is being read as 72 MB. What's the problem?

Create a File Folder with the "New" command.
Then drag the .mdf file into it.
Then right click on the folder, then scroll down to the bottom of that folder, and click on properties.
Regardless of whether it is 72 mb or 4.06 GB, select the folder add it to the copy list.
Now copy it as normal.

First, what is this file? Should it really be 4GB? Do a Properties on it and see what it says about the file. If it's a video that you downloaded using a peer-to-peer filesharing program, check for spyware.

Sorry, already got help. I used MagicISO to find the files within the .mdf, and just moved them over bit by bit. Thanks anyway :)
