Glassdoor has published its ninth annual Best Places to Work report and once again, technology companies are well represented.

For those not familiar, Glassdoor is a jobs and recruiting site in which employees can leave anonymous reviews and additional insights regarding past and present employers. If you're in the market for a new job, it's one of the best resources out there to help vet potential employers.

In this year's report, six of the top 10 best places to work are technology companies. Facebook ranks the highest at number two overall followed by Google in fourth place, system integration company World Wide Technology at number five, tech-based consulting firm Fast Enterprises in sixth place, LinkedIn in the eighth position and Adobe at number nine.

If you're wondering, the other spots in the top 10 are as follows: management consulting firm Bain & Company in first place, Boston Consulting Group in third, In-N-Out Burger (my personal favorite burger joint) at number seven and Power Home Remodeling in 10th place.

Finishing in the top 10 is no easy feat as a company must go well above and beyond what's expected of it on virtually every level. Glassdoor members, for example, praised Facebook for its excellent health insurance coverage, maternity and paternity leave, free lunch and snacks, gym memberships and more.

Users had similar praise for Google which also offers free food to its employees as well as excellent healthcare plans, free Internet, a favorable 401k match, tuition reimbursement, monthly gym subsidies and unlimited sick leave, just to name a few perks.
