Benchmarks: Watch Dogs, Hitman: Absolution

Overclocking the R9 Fury X Crossfire cards didn't help at all when testing Watch Dogs, but even so they were still 15% faster than the GTX 980 Ti SLI cards. That said, once we overclocked the GTX 980 Ti it was a different story and this gave Nvidia a 3% performance advantage.

This time when looking at the 99th percentile performance with Watch Dogs we see that the GTX 980 Ti SLI cards do provide strong gains over a single card. Moreover they were considerably faster than the R9 Fury X cards delivering 24% more performance once overclocked.

The Hitman: Absolution testing appears to have hit a CPU bottleneck as the R9 Fury X Crossfire cards were no faster than the R9 295X2. That said, the lower CPU overhead of the Nvidia drivers did give the GTX 980 Ti SLI cards a slight performance advantage here.

The frame time results are very similar to what we saw above when looking at the frame time performance. That said the GTX 980 Ti SLI cards were 11% faster than the R9 Fury X Crossfire setup.
