Benchmarks: Company of Heroes, Supreme Commander





For some reason the Radeon HD 4800 cards have never fared that well in Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts when run in the DX10 mode.

Here the Radeon HD 4870 X2 is just 11% faster than the GeForce GTX 280, and gives a good advantage to the GeForce GTX 295. The GeForce GTX 295 produced 56% more frames per second than the Radeon HD 4870 X2 at 2560x1600. This single graphics card was able to average 125fps at 2560x1600 in Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts using maximum in-game quality settings!





The Radeon HD 4800 has no issues with Supreme Commander however. Here the Radeon HD 4870 X2 remains top dog, delivering 89fps at 2560x1600. The GeForce GTX 295 was 13% slower with 77fps.
