What are you smoking? LLM's are absolutely AI and have enabled just as many advancements in technology and science as any other type. Please stop commenting nonsense. And GitHub is such a small, small space of where any of this stuff is happening. Essentially insignificant. The most interesting and effective stuff is happening at hyper scale in labs from major companies. 90% of the stuff that is happening you've never seen or touched and you likely never will.

You’re acting like LLMs are the beginning and end of AI, and that anything outside the hyperscale labs is irrelevant. That’s just not reality. LLMs are one branch of AI, not the whole tree and pretending everything meaningful is locked behind corporate walls is exactly the kind of hype that causes these ridiculous claims in the first place.

GitHub isn’t “insignificant,” it’s where open source research, tooling, and real world innovation show up long before big labs productize anything. And no, pointing out limits or context isn’t “nonsense.” It’s called not drinking the internet Kool Aid.

So maybe ease up on the “what are you smoking” routine. He is dealing in facts, not fantasies.
