2600+ cpu
1024 gig ram
radeon 9600 pro or fx 5200
5.1 soundblaster live
firewire card
windows xp pro sp1
I have tryed and tryed to to get some resolution to what is going on!
Every game that i try to play CRASHES!
I was yousing th 9600pro, wich is not a bad card!
everything just crashes at random times through the game
Games including: Doom 3, Prince of persia,The hulk,Lord of the rings ,Diablo2
Warcraft 3 , rollercoaster tycoon 2 and many more.

I have tryed reformating so many times i think my hard drive is going to **** its self!

I seems to be more stable with with the Gforce fx 5200,although it still crashes,
Yes! i know the 5200 is Crap, i just want to play a few games.

The only thing i have running is a AVG antivirus, could this be the problem!
Although i have stoped it and it still crashes back to the desktop with no error.
Some times i get a error saying the programe has stoped responding!

This is getting serious guys!
its doing my head in man!

could anyone please help me PLEASE!

The Radeon 9600 series cards dont seem to work well with nForce boards. It could also be a bad motherboard or problem with the RAM. What kind of RAM do you have? Do you know how to check the timmings in the BIOS?
If this only happens in games you may have a bad or weak power supply.

Hello there!

I built the system about three years ago, everything was running sweet!
its been probably the last year where It has been crashing.

I Have Kingstion DDR ram two sticks of 512meg
and a 400 w generic power supply

I took out the 9600pro because,I thought it was overheating so i gave it a cleen with contact Cleener

? is there someway of checking if the ram is buggered or the board.
? no i dont know how to check the bios timining.
thank you for your Quick responce Man.

Cheap power supplies can cause alot of stability problems. You can get a nice Antec or Enermax from Newegg.com for under $50. It may also be time to do a clean install of Windows. Ive never been ab le to go more then a year without doing that. Do a Google search for Memtester. Its a free program that will test your RAM.
