It states in my motherboard manual.

" If you install AM2+ cpu on this motherboard, the system bus speed will downgrade from HT3.0 (5200mhz) to HT 1.0 (2000mhz). However the frequency of the AM2+ cpu will not be impacted"

I am indeed running a AM2+ processor, And in cpuz it shows my bus speed as 200 mhz and my ht link as 800 mhz..

My questions are:

Is this normal?
Whats causing this bottleneck? my cpu or motherboard?
Why is cpuz reading 800 mhz instead of the 2000 mhz my manual states?

This is the first time ive dealt with hyper transport, Being an intel convert, and really have no idea what im doing ! :)

Thanks for any help :)

Cant believe i spelt processor wrong in the title... doh!

It could be an issue with the ASrock motherboard... Those motherboards are...
I've heard good things about AMD ASRock :/.

Anyway, what does CPUz say the clock speed is? If the clockspeed is normal and you see no performance impact (do you even have a "normal" to compare with), I would just ignore it and pretend cpuz is wrong :).

Did you spell spelt wrong too?
