AMD FSR 4 is Very Impressive: 1440p Upscaling Tested

I agree completely, but that probably won't continue.
FSR 4 does not work on previous RDNA or any Nvidia GPUs.

I do not think you have a full grasp of the gaming world. FSR adoption is massive and rdna4 is what Game Developers are talking about...

Consoles
Handhelds
Mobile
APU
PC
(& nvidia)

All^ use FSR (in one form or another..) And now moAr (Developers) will be developing exclusively for AMD's FSR~

Ok man, but under the hood tech is not one of my areas, so I read but I don't usually comment.
But I'm talking about FSR4 specifically. It won't work on Nvidia GPUs nor previous RDNA's.

I have no doubt it will be a huge hit with AMD 9070 series owners though.
Maybe all 3 of them.

Game Developers design and engineer their game for the Consoles & future consoles. And then usually ports them ovr to other platforms. (ie the GAMING INDUSTRY does indeed revolve around the rdna Gaming Consoles.)

They are very few PC only game Developer/Houses left. And those will be using FSR4, cuz when porting their PC game to consoles.... EZ.

Mark does a great job of explaining it unbiasedly.

Seriously, I can't see any difference. Maybe I need to use a magnifying glass. But when gaming, I don't have time to do that. In a fast moving world, you don't really stop and observe every pixel.

I was never interested in DLSS or FSR anyway. I just want a card that can play 60fps minimum at native resolution. Fine, if the card can only manage 1080p for this.
Once you see 4k, it is very hard to go back to 1080p.
If you are very serious about staying at 1080p, I would advice
to never try out 4k monitors. The clarity, the beautiful lines without pixels that can be easily seen, it makes using a monitor a new experience, several levels higher.

FYI, I'm using both a 4K TV and a 4K monitor. And nope, not a fan of RTX too, though I have a respectable RTX card too. I just got the 4 series card for maintaining 60fps in 4K. Natively. But I usually play older games, so this is still achievable. (AC4 for eg.)

Still find it laughable that people measure how good upscaling is when the game is freaking paused or running at half speed. That is NOT how you are going to be playing the game, so if you can't notice anything when played at normal speed, then there are no issues.
You'll still perceive it, even if in motion.

Now do a test of live streaming capabilities of the new generation of cards from all three manufacturers. :)

This is good news. Let's hope AMD don't drop the ball on this one and keep improving it across a wide variety of games.

I wasn't impressed with anything from either AMD or NV 2025 new cards. But this could well be an opening for AMD. Supply issues are going to continue being a problem, and the MSRP can be kissed goodbye. But both of those things are a given and to be expected in 2025.

I really hope NV get a jolt from this. Too smug, and too shiny leather jackets. This may push them to actually do something at a slightly better price for gamers.

Not holding my breath, but we may have competition. Finally!! At least in the upper mid range cards.

I don't get to enable FSR 4 in TLOU, I tried all combination between the game and Adrenalin and I get the message "FSR available" in popup on start the game only.

Where is my error? My settings:

In Adrenalin: FSR 4 enabled
In game: Enable FSR in quality preset. 1440p. Windowed without borders.

Somebody can help me?
Thanks
