Annoying sound problem

After I installed an SSD drive in my system. Whenever I restart my computer I have to reinstall my sound driver, because it will boot up and do nothing but high pitch squeal. On top of that, after awhile windows media player will pop up and I'm unable to close it. Every time I close it, it will just pop back up. I've tried everything I can think of. I'm using a Creative xfi gamer, and I have the on board audio disabled.

Sound Card: Creative Xfi Gamer
Memory: 2 x 2gb Crucial Ballistix
Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

Just for testing purposes, remove the xFI Gamer card and re-enable the on-board sound. See if the sound issues stop
