Apple may have cut Kepler GPUs from some new MacBooks

The story first reported by SemiAccurate, and later picked up by Apple Insider, suggests that Apple has little confidence in Nvidia that it can supply enough 28 nm Kepler graphics chips to support Apple's demand. Apple apparently has already made the decision to dump Nvidia for "a large number" of notebooks and may only use Kepler in a limited way, potentially only for the high-end. Given the fact that Apple sells about 3.6 million notebooks per quarter, this may - if the rumor is true - hurt Nvidia.

Can be true, as with every new tick/tock release IG on Intel chips are killing any reason for having a low end discrete graphics in notebooks at least.

Don't Apple have only two models with discrete graphics in any case (MBP 15 and 17) ?

Probably foreseen by more than a few observers. Apple has already kicked AMD unceremoniously to the curb, and since gaming isn't exactly a high priority for MacBook Air/Pro owners (how gauche!), not a big reach to see that Nvidia might only be a niche market within a niche market. I wouldn't exactly see a long term market for Intel with Apple either....probably why Intel and Nvidia are about to go full court press with the Ivy Bridge and Nvidia+ Optimus ultrabook/notebook SKU's.
