ATI Radeon X700

Hello everyone,

I'm updating drivers for my video card... (killing my nerve cells rather )

I've spent about 20 hours without any breaks , I'm trying to update my video card drivers. Here is what I have;

I have ATI Radeon X700 Video Card on my desktop PC , recently I've changed my hard drive ( my old one died )

Now I need to upgrade my video card , BUT I CAN NOT install any of the ATI Catalyst software.

Here is my steps so far

My latest attempt was:
* Uninstall AIT software from add/remove programs
* Ran driver cleaner and removed all ati related files, and registry entries
* Reboot
* System says "found new hardware... <cancel>
* Install driver .... get the same error "Setup did not find a driver compatible with your blabla...."
* Reinstalling .Net ( currently have 3.5 latest version )
*Reinstalling DivX

Absolutely nothing seem to work for me , except for omega drivers which I can install without any problems. ( But they are no good because with those drivers I can not play my favorite game it glitches graphics badly)

If anyone could help me please, I seriously want to cry . No matter what I do I can not fix this ...

What Catalyst version are you trying to install? Use Catalyst 9.3 or earlier. 9.3 was the last version that supported your card.
