In a nutshell: Bethesda as part of its Fallout Day festivities this week announced an anniversary edition of Fallout 4 scheduled to launch on most major platforms in just a couple of weeks. Furthermore, the company confirmed the game will be heading to the Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026.

Fallout 4 touched down on November 10, 2015, and wasted little time in taking home hardware. The game won top honors at the 19th annual DICE Awards and Game of the Year at the Bafta awards a couple of months later. Not content to rest on their laurels, Bethesda released a slew of DLC that added even more content to an already solid game. Now, fans have the opportunity to own it all in one complete collection.

Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition includes the base game, six official add-ons – Automatron, Far Harbor, Nuka-World, and the Workshop expansions – and more than 150 pieces of Creation Club content. Bethesda said the Creation Club content consists of fan favorites as well as previously unreleased items, but it does not end there. Through the new in-game Creations menu, gamers will have access to even more items from professional devs and enthusiasts alike.

Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition will be available digitally on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC from November 10. Oddly enough, Bethesda did not mention pricing in their announcement so we'll reserve judgement on that aspect for now. The company's wording doesn't seem to indicate there will be a retail release, so physical collectors may be out of luck. We also don't know when exactly to expect the Switch 2 version, but hopefully it will be closer to the beginning of the year than the end.

If physical goods are your jam, you'll be happy to learn that Bethesda also announced a Fallout: New Vegas 15th anniversary bundle. Complete with an 8-inch Victor statue and a host of other goodies, the collection retails for $154.99 and is available to pre-order right now.

I was hoping there might be some additional development involved, but it's just a bundle.
This will be identical to the current experience of installing 20+ mods to reach basic playability.

It's sometimes hard to remember that Skyrim actually looks twice as good as Fallout 4 does - I was hoping for a "Skyrim like" glowup, but this just looks...so....sooo...old now

Fallout 4 story was trash, but it has great gameplay with all the quarks that come with a Bethesda game.

Bethesda really needs to lean into the bugs their games have and lean into it as some type of emergent gameplay instead of trying to take themselves seriously.

Games are meant to be fun and there is a time and a place for serious games, but I want to have fun and laugh. Skyrim was B movie bad, but that's part of why people loved it and it became a cult classic. The voice acting, animation and story in Skyrim were so bad that it lead to emergent gameplay that turned it into a game that's still stalled about almost 15 years later.

Skyrim is one of the best games of all time. The soundtrack was also very good.

Skyrim is my second favorite game of all time, the sound track is certainly one of its best features. But what makes Skyrim so great is the emulgamation of all the bugs and quarks that make it bad merging in the right way.

Very disappointing Fallout Day announcements over all. All they announced was new re-releases of Fallout games that have already been out for years with all the DLC included and some plastic figurines to add to your collection. Seriously? Also a reminder that the last single player Fallout game was released over a decade ago.

Right I at least hoped for modernized models and textures and a updated engine to take advantage of the current gen cards. Even the weakest releases come with raytracing out of the box even if the game doesn't need it.

This sounds like the same old playbook where Bethesda re-re-resells their old IP while basically updating it enough to break existing mods.

And yeah, go Skyrim.

I do not think that word means what you think it means... :)

I'm guessing you mean "quirks", although I suppose all matter is composed of quarks.
