(Bluescreen)KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

So I'm getting the blue screen that is in the title there "KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED" with error code 0x0000008E.

Thing is, the KB tells me I should install a SP to fix this issue, but it happends WHILE I'm installing Sp3 onto the computer, and I have no idea why.. I've turned off the firewall and have no other issues with the computer.. Going to do a harddrive and RAM test on the computer to eliminate those as the cause but any input if someone has run into this problem before would help me out greatly.

0x8E errors are almost always caused by hardware and are a good indicator of corrupted memory. If you run memtest do no less than the minimum of 7 Passes and more is better.
