Cant get on to the internet on one computer but can on the other

Hello i am somewhat of a noob when it comes to the computers

i have a Desktop
that will not connect to the internet

All i do on the computer is play games and view the net every now and then

a day ago it would not get on the net at all and i could not get on to the router i have tried another cable and that didnt work i have even taken the router down and see if that was blocking it in anyway but it still cant connect.

so if anyone has any idea plz post them here so i can try and hope they work.

ps i dont have any viruses i have 3 dif. programs that look for them and all three came up with 0

Look at the settings in the internet connections in the control panel of the working one, and duplicate them in the other. It is likely that your settings are incomplete.

What OS are you using? I don't know how to fix it, but that may be important in solving the problem.
