I want to change my drive configuration to AHCI RAID in Windows XP professional OS. Currently it is in Combination mode. The problem is I've installed software, mainly audio production software and some gaming software. Will changing my configuration mode to RAID have any effect on the software I'm running currently? Will I have to completely uninstall everything? Also, I cannot install XP when drives are configured for RAID AHCI auto detect or all other options. Only combination mode works, other wise windows fails to detect the hard drives(2).
