And how do you know some officer that happens to also be a stalker or rapist isn't using that to track them? The problem is there is not enough safeguards in place to protect people from officers and government abusing the system.

Look for a miniscule possibility and blow it out of proportion because you don't want the cops to see you adjusting it. My realm of possibility far exceeds yours

A guy on the radio this morning made a good point. The "tech" to spy is here, and it's here to stay unfortunately.
Here's the idea...all the flocks go away. Then, something terrible happens. A kidnapping of a child, who is sexually assaulted and killed. There will be those that say "if we had those flock cameras, we could have possibly found this person bla bla bla.
How many laws do we have now, because someone was kidnapped/killed? Remember Adam Walsh? After that happened, CONGRESS passed and the president signed into law
The Adam Walsh Child Protection & Safety Act.
After 9/11, congress passed and the president signed into law the Transportation Safety Act.
Now, you get searched before flying. All in the name of "safety and security".
What will happen is there will be some event that causes government to spout off to the public that "this is an outrage! We need to do something". The public will get behind it and
before you know it those cameras will be EVERYWHERE. And, since it will be a federal deal, the towns, cities & states won't be able to stop it.

Taxpayer money is almost always paying for these cameras. Ultimately, voters should get to decide.
