Computer keeps beeping

Okay, I just got finished wiping my computer and I was starting to re-install a lot of the **** I had on there. Well I re-downloaded AIM and installed it, and it works fine, but everytime I press enter, my computer makes this "BEEP" sound. And it also does it at random times. How can I get it to stop, and why's it doing it?

Whats a BIOS beep? And how do I know I have a hardware failure? :\
