Cost Per Frame: Nvidia Stops Offering Good Value GPUs to Gamers

Oh please... have you been kidnapped and brainwashed by Jensen to say stupid things like that?

Talking like a true fanboy. It is a non-existing bias nowadays. In fact, AMD drivers have been better lately than the ones from nvidia. As for performances, cost per frame clearly is showing the contrary. I am not buying a 5070TI over a 9070XT for a 50% premium for the same performances...
Its not an opinion its a fact, Nvidia release more WHQL drivers and provide driver support for quite a lot longer than Radeon does.

A fanboy would be someone who ignores reality in the fact of facts. So, that would be you here. Your anecdotal evidence is meaningless.

I am curious, why else do you think Nvidia has such a severe market dominance?

In Iberia I can't find the 9070XT cheaper (17/9/2026, 7.00) than 850€. But I wouldn't buy ANY peace of hardware now: a HDD, SSD, and RAM cost at least twice as much as before.

I bought some years ago, five 5 TB USB 2.5" HDDs for 99 - 119€ each (in offer). Last year I bought two 4 TB Samsung SSDs for ~220€ and now everything costs more than double.

I was saying 9070, the XT is more expensive. You can order the regular one from Amazon DE for 635€ + 10€ shipping.

The XT is 789€ with shipping from there.

He is correct, this year has been a mess with Nvidia. I've had black screens and flickering display with some recent driver versions. This on GTX 900 and 1000 cards, not even the new stuff.

People with newer cards seem to have had other big problems that were widely reported.

I can also say that VRR is a mess on Nvidia: should work, is enabled, still tears within the VRR window. With a certified display nonetheless. Could not get it fixed.

AMD has worked better for me. Only missed the Adaptive Sync mode that Nvidia has but since Freesync/VRR is possible, it is less of an issue.

You and the people you know are not statistically significant…

Do you have any data to back your claims up? I haven't heard anything myself.

Individual issues is not enough data to prove or disprove anything. If what you are saying is true, then we will start to see the market share change from Nvidia to Radeon.

But I wouldn't get too excited, less than a week after this article came out and Nvidias prices are down and Radeons pricing is up. In fact you can get a 5070 for $680 at Walmart right now, $120 less than the $800 lowest price claimed here. And the cheapest 9070XT is at $850, $100 more than this article states its lowest price is. You would be mad to choose a 9070XT over the 5070 at those prices.

If Techspot were professional, they would release a follow up article with a new cost analysis. Or even an editors note at the beginning of this one to inform consumers that the pricing has changed a lot and their graphs and analysis no longer apply. But I'm not going to hold my breath..

Data? Myself and my nephew both had these issues.

Plus the plethora of articles on RTX 6000 launch. If it is ok to you, it is good!

Prices do not matter at this level, it is up to whatever company wants to make cards. Auto pricing algorithms will double the price when stock reaches 1 unit or whatever.
If the memory price is ridiculous, they will only make high end cards.

Jesus Christ, the cope. If you have not seen this reported ad nauseam, from flickering to full black screen.

Still happening, not me!
If you read down - you’ll see that it was promptly fixed… and it only affected a small percentage of users…

Nvidia sells TONS of cards… to be statistically significant, you need more people than “me and a few friends”…
