A $580 9070 XT is hard to beat across the board. Impressive performance for a reasonable price. That's the one to get. And I say that as a 5080 owner. It's a harder justification to go Nvidia at these prices than when I bought mine.

Sure you can get GPUs for half that price - and half the performance. It's bad time to be strapped for cash. If you are on a tight budget, I think the 9060 8GB is probably the next best value - But realize you will have to settle in for 2 years until the next gen pricing stabilizes for upgrades. That's why I think the play is stretch for the 9070 XT if you can at all swing it. Then you've got a lot of gaming power to hold you until the world gets less crazy.

Neither are great value here in NZ but nVidia is an even worse choice

Some brick and mortar stores have it cheaper like microcenter. Cheapest on online is on Newegg for $599 via Cybermonday sale temporarily.


Thr calm before the storm. The best time to but a gpu is probably now if you haven't purchased it in November. In my outlook.



The 5070 is already selling for significantly more than the cheapest price in November and low bearing fruit still have some at $499.

Hardly any difference between the 9060XT 16Gb and my old 3070 8Gb, so I won't be changing my card for some time yet.

I saw them as low as $530 on black Friday/cyber Monday.

If people didn't jump on those sales they have no right to complain about prices.

Microcenter has had the ASRock Challenger 9070 non-XT for $499.99 for a short while. Gives it a $4.90 per FPS value, and with 16 GB and a standard 2+8pin connector, it is infinitely more valuable than the 12GB Fire hazard
