crahing again please help

I have recently built this machine myself with limited knowledge, the specs are in my profile. All the hardware is new, I am running XP pro SP2 and I am connected to the web via a usb modem.

The problem seems to be random although previous minidump analysis pointed towards the usb modem, I have recently updated the drivers for it but the issue continues. It crashes when left downloading or if I am surfing but also when it is idling.

Another issue is lately it has started making the windows sounds that occur when a usb device is plugged in, only it goes on and on as if someone is constantly plugging and unplugging something even when nothing at all is plugged in.

I have attached a few recent minidumps and a dxdiag file just in case. #

Please somebody help, all ideas welcome.

4 minidumps crash at SACMXP1.sys. Modem driver. They have bugchecks of D1, and 0A.

1 minidump crashes at intelppm.sys. Your cpu driver. It has a bugcheck of FE.

1 minidump crashes at USBPORT.SYS. USB 1.1 & 2.0 Port Driver. It has a bugcheck of 44.


I think you have a problem with your modem, or your modem drivers.

Since you have already updated the modem drivers. Try a different modem.

Also make sure you have the latest chipset drivers for your mobo.
