i start my computer and instead of the regular desktop background there is a screen that says WARNING!
YOU'RE IN DANGER
it basicly says that i should download antivirus gold adition
what should i do in this case, what should i do or install in order to keep this kind of thing or any other advertisment, virus and popup problems away form my pc???

You will need to go their with Internet Explorer though ...

Run their BETA anti-virus scanner. It will do an adware scan and also tell you about any vulnerabilities you may have.
