inspiron 5100 admin password

I have a dell inspiron 5100 notebook and the service tag is "GK7JC31" I have tried everything I know possible. I have read all of the posts and tried every password given. When powering on the laptop, I am immediately asked for a password. Once entered incorrectly three times, the laptop then askes for a master pasword. When entered incorrectly, the laptop shuts down.

I believe that this is a bios protection password, but since I cannot enter the bios without the password I'm stuck.

Any assistance would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Paragon33,
I also have a LAtitude D600 with the "config Password" set. If you could send me the utility to reset it, that would be great.
Thank you
Mike
P.S. I've already emailed you the request at your above mentioned address.

I made it!!!! After a many unsuccessful try, yesterday I did it! I unlocked the password of the BIOS! THX for Nattal once more!! According to the pdf what he sent me, I could to unlock my D610. I didn't find it in this chart, but it was a many useful information in it! I was total disassembled the notebook, and have find the EEPROM. Some advise:
By this model U can find the chip in the bottom, next to the BIOS battery. U must just remove the under cover. But so U R not able to see, because it is under the metal frame. If U can realized that it is the right chip, then it's not so hard to shorten. There is only this chip, next to the IR, towards of display from the small memory batt.
THX for all the aid, what I became from U!

Regards

Hi

I have a Latitude D510 which has the grey/white screen at power on asking for a password. I have managed to get all the info that I can, including contacting email removed

I spent the best part of this morning taking said laptop apart, but I could not find the chip anywhere.

Does anyone know the location of the 'chip' in a D510?
I would be very grateful

Cheers

I'm requesting assistance for dell laptop master password:

Service Tag: ZQ90J**-D35B (ZQ90J)

I tried the generators... the output password is "oalbxc0t" but it doesn't seem to work.

Can someone try generating for me?

That Master-PW junk is a waste of time. I have tried it on innumrerable machines with no positive results. The EEProm Chip Shorting works the best.
