direct3D with America's Army

I have a sony vaio, with the ATI Radeon video card that came with it, and while i am pretty sure that it is compatible with direct3D, i play america's army because a message comes up telling me to enable direct3D. When I go to enable it, the button is greyed out. Any help will be appreciated, thanks in advance
