Hi all,

ANyone knows how to disable the Hibernation feature in Win XP? I've noticed that I've got a 300MB file in my partition and I'd like to get rid of it since I don't use the hibernate feature.

TIA.

Control Panel ---> Power Options ---> Hibernate ---> Untick Enable Hibernation

The file should instantly vanish.

Heh. Other then perhaps "reserving" that space for eventual use, I don't see why XP has to always have a file the size of your ram sitting there waiting to be written when it may never be used. It makes much more sense to me that XP would create/write the file when you select hibernation, rather then having it always there.

Too much redundancy in XP :/
