Disk boot failure inster sys........

helllo everyone i just made my own pc this is my first pc i contected the wires and everything everything seems to be fine. after i turn my pc and when it gets to the point where it says please insert system disk i insert win xp pro cd and i get the msg "disk boot failure, insert system disk and press enter"(the cd drive make this noise not sure how to discribe it but it looks like it dosent want to read the disk i dont know why) my boot bios are set 1st floppy 2nd cd drive and 3rd hd

i dont know what to do now and i want to get the pc working plss help me!!!!!!!

try booting the computer with the disk in first, before it even gets to that screen.

it didnt work i tried with the disc in at the begining whe i booted the pc and it didnt work???

any ideas??

make cd 1st boot
make sure cd is clean and hopefully legal copy
and or copied correctly(bootable)

yes the cd is bootable it boots on my other pc and i set the cd drive to first and i still get that problem
