I finally found it! It looks awesome. The game seems to run ok (5-15fps) at 640x480@16 on my GeForce2 MX400 64MB. Thanks for the heads up!

Cheers...

Scroll up in this thread Rusty - all the commands you will need are in here including video settings and bind settings.

That is totally weird. I still can't play those videos. I'll try on my roommate's computer later. Still seems strange to me though.

download the nimo codec pack..

install dvix3. then the nimo pack. then lastest divx. after that, you can play anything under the sun....

I have all that installed. I watched it on my roommates computer. It looks pretty sweet. I just wish I could either play it on mine, or watch the videos. I have been able to watch anything else, just not this for some stupid reason. Oh well I figured a way to watch it.

Read up above in this thread Steg - it tells you how to launch a game. If you lauch a game the way you're doing it then yes - it will crash - unless you located the update that makes it not crash ;)

Wow I'm so impressed with the graphics on this, obsolutely stunning! I just have one thing that bothers me, why the shipdip am I only getting 2 fps? I know I realize I dont have the best computer out there, but seriously this should go a little faster. Can anyone give me some adivice on how to run this more smoothly please.

1.3 ghz duron, radeon 7500 ddr, 256 ram, and if you wan't the rest check out the info tab thingy which shows ppls info.

Well that system isnt that bad at all.....I think I read somewhere thought, its even very demanding on some of the newest hardware available...so maybe its just that demanding... But just wait a lil while till somone else replies to this...cause really I dont think I can help:blackeye:

Well I just found some sort of "patch" for the alpha. It's called Doom III_Multifix, and it fixes various things like the menus, for example you don't have to go to the console to start a new game now you can go to singleplayer and it won't crash, fixes a few performance issues, I now get a total of 14-27fps now, which is quite an improvement from 2fps, if you don't have this patch I recommend you grap it. It's weighted at 2.02 megs and you can grap it either from Kazaa or you can search it on google.

Just a reminder to everyone to be careful with downloading this file. As it is a highly wanted one by a LOT of people, so I am sure there have been virii made into it. Just notice the file size before you download and run it.

Don't wanna have to try and fix a virus problem from someone downloading the wrong thing.

Oh thanks Poertner, I forgot to mention that. It HAS to be 2.02 megs or else its a fake or some sort of virus, like Poertner has mentioned. So if you watch what you're downloading you'll be fine:cool: .
